Your Marketing Check List For The Next 2 Months
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been updating you on how to run Halloween Camps and many of you have got in touch to say you want to run them.
We thought it would be really useful for you to have a “Marketing Check List” in the lead up to October half term to help you publicise your camps (if you are not running camps, then it will be beneficial for you to have a look at the list which can be used for Christmas Camps and also your dance classes for after half term).
Here it is:
w/c 5th Sept – email everyone on your database (or your contacts) to let them know about your Camps and Classes and how they can book – we will be emailing all existing customers first to give them the first opportunity to book, then we will email everyone else
later that week – email everyone else on your database about your classes and camps
Post on facebook, in appropriate facebook groups (i.e. parent groups, mums groups etc. in your area)
Use images, i.e. Popdance logos, don’t forget that you can download the Halloween logo from POP – we also have Halloween flyers and artwork available
Share across all the social media platforms that you use
Ask friends and family to share this information with their friends and contacts too
Make sure you get your Popdance classes and camps featured on the main Popdance Website – just give us a shout with all the details and we will do the rest – email me at sue@popdance.co.uk with the full info – we will then share on social media and email out to all potential customers on our database in your area 🙂
w/c 12th Sept – email local primary schools about your camps and classes – ask if they will feature in their newsletter or on their website – getting kids active is very important to schools
Post in various facebook groups at different times on different days – don’t post in every group you can find at the same time as people do not like that – engage with the group – don’t just post and leave – introduce yourself and speak about the benefits of your camps and classes – getting the kids active, having fun, camps being great for working parents etc.
Post in netmums, mumsnet and other “activities for children” websites in your area
Order your Halloween Activity bags – £1 per bag, but hurry as we don’t have many left in stock – these can be used during your camp to keep the kids amused, or as a take home gift
w/c 19th Sept – remind people that half term is only 6 weeks away and that your camps/classes are filling up fast – post different images, share the benefits of people attending, why should they attend?
Post about some of the Halloween tracks you will be using in your camps and classes – build some excitement
As Popdance HQ to send out a reminder email to all our potential customers for you in your area and to post on our social media platforms
w/c 26th Sept – email out to your contacts again to say something like “if you haven’t yet booked for our Halloween Camp (or classes), then do book soon as it is filling up fast – once booked, you will start a waiting list”
Write a press release for your local newspaper about getting kids active through dance and that you are having a Halloween themed camp or classes
w/c 3rd Oct – remind people there are only 4 weeks until half term – post in various facebook groups and share via your social media platforms
Share the benefits of coming along to your classes and camps, i.e. great fun, building confidence, learning exciting Popdance routines, meeting new people, being active etc.
Post again in Netmums, mumsnet and other activities for children websites in your area
w/c 10th Oct – Send out reminders that camp/class is only 2 weeks away and there are limited places left (if there are any) – if you are fully booked, let people know that you are starting a waiting list – people love to know that camps and classes and “sold out” – and they then make sure they book early for the next ones 😉
Ask Popdance HQ to share again via social media
w/c 17th Oct – Send out reminders to those that have booked as to what they need to bring/do, where to be and what time etc.
If remaining places, post over various social media platforms and email contacts again.
Don’t forget to download the 3 Halloween Activity Sheets from POP – they are great for keeping the kids amused – either use them in your camps, or give then away as a take home pressie 😉
w/c 24th Oct – enjoy your camps/classes/workshops 🙂
w/c 31st Oct – After your camps/classes/workshops, email all those that took part and ask them for their feedback – did they enjoy it? Did they want anything else included? Would they recommend you to friends?
Feedback is invaluable – never shy away from it – embrace it and learn from it – it helps us to make our businesses the best they can possibly be 🙂
If you need any help, give us a shout – we are always here 🙂
Enjoy!
